We’ll publish our full breakdown of the election results in a day or two, but for now, here’s a run down of the winners, ranked by the percentage of the poll they each received in their respective wards. Councillor Mike Sceal wins the prize for the safest seat in town, elected by almost 61% of the voters who bothered to turn out in Waterloo ward.
St Faith’s welcomed Councillor Phil Munday who not only managed to win almost 56% of the votes cast in the ward, but with a total of 1,784 votes was far and away the largest-polling winner of any candidate on the day.

We’ll bring you a more detailed breakdown of the figures in a couple of days since there are some interesting points on which to ponder.
