Havant Civic Society has maintained an online presence since 2012, and since the website was re-written in 2018 has become our main medium for communication with our loyal members and contacts. With new posts published on average once a week, most also broadcast on the Society’s Facebook page. There is a rich archive of over four hundred detailed articles to read.

If you’re not familiar with the way the site works, it’s quite simple – just take a look at the main menu bar along the top of the page:
We would encourage you to click on any of the options on the menu bar to explore the site.

Hints and Tips:
On the right hand side of the Home page, you’ll find two simple ways of searching the site. Entering a word or phrase, such as ‘Regeneration’ or ‘Local Plan’ in the search field will bring up a summary list of all posts containing that text.
Alternatively, select a year from the drop-down box under Archives, and you’ll be able to bring up all posts from that year.

On the right hand side of the Home page, you’ll see a list of the most recent posts on the site. Take any link to read the detail.
The HCS website works well on any mobile device, though on smaller devices like phones the interface changes slightly. If you’re looking at the site on a mobile phone, you’ll find a small ‘hamburger’ menu below the title. Click that to expand the full menu and follow the pages there.

Remember, wherever you see text underlined and in italics, you can click on that link to find further information. These links are perfectly safe to follow.
Some of the website posts are now open for comments, so please feel free to start or join in any conversation.
If you want to get in touch with the committee, feel free to use the Contact form, which you’ll find on the main menu, under ‘About us’.
Remember – if you get lost at any time, just tap or click on the little image of St Faith’s church at the top of the page you’re on and you’ll be taken straight back to the Home page.
If you’re a Facebook user, then you’ll be able to follow the HCS Facebook site by clicking the image below:
