We’ve taken another look at the new HBC public planning portal today and updated the HCS -Arcus Place Public Register issue log. There are no new visible fixes to report, but a few new issues have been added to the log.
Despite repeated efforts, the council has declined to engage directly on these matters and has shown little interest in enabling residents to assist with what is now an evidently overdue phase of testing and bug resolution.
Rather than welcoming constructive input, HBC Planning Services has redirected genuine public enquiries into rigid, bureaucratic channels – namely ‘formal information requests’ and ‘formal complaints’ – which are slow, inefficient, and ill-suited to the nature of the issues at hand. It is an approach which risks alienating stakeholders, and one which may ultimately prove counterproductive.
